Playmakerstats 2017/18 Partnership

A new campaign is nearly here, and one in which Pompey will kick off in Sky Bet League One for the first time since the 2012/13 season.

With over 14,500 season tickets sold, a new manager in Kenny Jackett, and the Michael Eisner/Tornante takeover expected to be confirmed ahead of the Rochdale opening match, there’s plenty to be optimistic about with fans eager to see the Blues back in league action.

Here at PompeyNewsNow, we’ve also been preparing for the new season and have a fresh new look kindly designed by our new stats partner Playmakerstats.

Following the partnership announcement Playmakerstats said: “We’ve been really encouraged by the support received from clubs, players and fans since we started up in earnest at the end of November 2016.

“We obviously get attached to certain clubs that we ‘stat’ about, and we really enjoyed covering Portsmouth’s successful title tilt last season.

“We really like the style and passion of PompeyNewsNow, and appreciate the backing they have always given us, so we are absolutely delighted to be partnering up with them for an exciting 17/18 season.

“In terms of what PNN followers can expect, the simple answer is ‘lots of stats’! We will try and make sure there are a few interesting stats milling about before and after most games, and we would encourage people to get involved with us and PNN: feel free to make requests regarding the stats you want to see, and we will do our best to accommodate them.

“We have gone from a handful of followers back in November 2016 to over 3,500 currently, and Playmaker is really passionate about providing its audience with quirky, colourful stats that throw another light on the game we all love.

“Give us a follow on Twitter, and we’ll follow back – we are also on Facebook, so give us a like there too!”
