Former Coventry City midfielder Adam Barton has signed a two-year deal with Pompey becoming Paul Cook’s sixth summer signing.

The Clitheroe-born Northern Ireland international made 51 appearances and scored 3 goals for the Sky Blues after moving from Preston North End in August 2012.

An abundance of midfielders are currently on the books at Fratton Park highlighting the possibility of further player exits on the horizon.
