Speculation on Jed Wallace’s Pompey future has renewed following the 1 nil defeat at AFC Wimbledon which ended any realistic hopes of making a late dash for the play-offs.
Wolves manager Kenny Jackett was in the Kingsmeadow crowd with Pompey’s young star believed to be the target.
A summer move to Wolves or possibly another Championship side is the likely outcome, although with the emergency loan window closing on Thursday 26th, a last minute move could even materialise as Wolves seek to gatecrash the Championship play-off places.
Wallace has hit 14 goals in league and cup for Pompey this season who currently sit in 13th place in League 2 on 49 points. With 8 matches remaining, the Blues’ will be seeking to achieve at least 11 points to surpass their 13/14 season tally of 59 points.
Any transfer fee received would help towards re-building a squad capable of mounting a serious promotion challenge in the 2015/16 season.
