Pompey have been drawn away to Rochdale in the FA Cup 2nd round. The match is to be played on the weekend of 1st December.

Joe Gallen said: “You’re always looking for a home tie, but our away form has been impressive this season and we’re unbeaten on the road.

“We know it will be tough, although we went up to Rochdale and got a good result in September, so I’m sure we’ll go there with plenty of confidence.”

With their excellent away form in particular this season, Pompey have to fancy their chances of making the FA Cup 3rd round for the first time since 2016 when goals from Gary Roberts and  Marc McNulty knocked out Ipswich in the replay.

Pompey subsequently went out to AFC Bournemouth in the 4th round at Fratton Park, but what a memorable team goal finished off by Gary Roberts.
