New face of the Season
Winner: Jamal Lowe
Jamal Lowe told PNN, “Just want to say thank you to everyone who voted and thank you to all the fans. What an amazing season it’s been, not just for me personally, but for this massive club and everyone involved, since joining everyone has been nothing but welcoming and friendly and I really appreciate it, PUP!”
Runner-up: David Forde
Mainstream website of the Season
Winner: Portsmouth News
On hearing of winning the award, Neil Allen said: “We’d like to thank all those who made this wonderful moment possible. In particular, Paul Cook and his players who have provided rare positive footballing stories to write about in recent years. Without their assistance we would be moaning about experiences such as Aldershot in the FA Cup, Plymouth with Nick Awford in midfield, Rochdale under Barker and York under Whittingham. Thank goodness for that.”
Excellent coverage from The News team, you can read Neil Allen’s match report from the title-winning last match of the season here.
Runner-up: Official PFC
Pipped at the post, nevertheless top work from the clubs’ media team as you’d expect to bring Pompey fans the latest official news from Fratton Park.
Fans’ media production of the Season
Neck and neck with votes until the remaining seconds, this was hotly contested between Fournilwrittenalloverit and Pompey Memes.
Winner: Fournilwrittenalloverit
Tom Chappell said: “A light hearted glimpse of our match day experiences, following the fortunes of Pompey, home and away. Our weekly YouTube ‘show’ is, typically, broadcast from the nearest Toby Carvery (our ‘studio’) and includes top quality features such as :- amazing song and dance routines, the UK network of motorways, trains, pubs, ‘Mysteries of the Hindhead Tunnel’, and, most importantly, interviews with fellow fans.
Our slick and professional presenter, young Tom, works tirelessly (and patiently), holding the whole thing together. Tom is joined by Andrew (lifelong fan, Tom’s Dad and…. a nice bloke), Sam (giant footy pundit and proud owner of a ‘Smith’ shirt) and Alan (away game ‘Incognito’ specialist and, permanently, skint). A massive thanks to all who voted for us and…..let’s all join ‘The Champions’ in League one …….Play Up Pompey!”
Runner-up: Pompey Memes podcast

Brett Harley, one of the POL moderators told PNN: “Pompey Online has really lived through the ups and downs of the season and has seen a large increase of new members joining the forum due to Pompey’s incredible run to the League Two title, along with news of Michael Eisner’s takeover bid. There’s a great mood on the board and we’ve had some interesting debates about the future of Pompey. This has attracted a wide range of fans – even some PCFC Presidents!”
