Hugh Bunce

Hugh founded the podcast in 2018 with his friend Matt after initially writing articles for PompeyNewsNow.

There was a real lack of regular Pompey audio content at the time so he assembled a team of mates to take on the new project.

As host of the main podcast, he attempts to keep Andy, Freddie and whoever else on topic while derailing the show himself.

Hugh also edits the main podcast so any issues with sound or production quality are 100% his fault.

Andy Mitchelmore

Andy is a university lecturer and geeks out on neurology and cardiology in particular. He has absolutely zero professional experience working in football, analysing football or knowing anything about football.

As a result, he’s perfectly qualified to co-host the PO4Cast with Hugh and Freddie while trying to stop his pet hamster from escaping.

He struggles to find any interest in xG or analytical metrics, but Jack Hancock is slowly winning him over with his dulcet tones.

Freddie Webb

Freddie is a journalist at The News Portsmouth and a co-host on the PO4cast. He wrote for PompeyNewsNow as a hobby before becoming a professional journalist – writing news stories about the blues, opinion columns and blogs about analytics in football.

After achieving his MA in Journalism in the University of Sheffield, he became a news reporter at The News, covering live news, business, politics, human interest, crime, defence and investigative stories. He has been a regular co-host on the PO4cast since 2020.

Jack Hancock

Jack is a keen football tactics and recruitment writer, with over three years experience working in football, in a multitude of roles.

He filled-in on the PO4cast multiple times in 2023, and during the summer became a permanent co-host on the PO4cast xTRA, a Pompey analytics podcast.

He has declared himself as Andy Mitchelmore’s number one fan.

Jack was recognised at the Football Content Awards 2023 earning Bronze Award in the Best Young Content Creator category.

Joth Taylor

Joth is a quality assurance analyst at Sports Interactive, working on the popular game Football Manager.

In his spare time Joth plays guitar in a handful of bands and creates data visualisations on Twitter (now X) under the name ‘pompeystats’. He can be heard on the monthly PO4Cast xTra.
